How can concentration be increased?

Whether at school or at work: A lack of concentration can make our everyday life unnecessarily difficult and ensure that we need a lot of time even for simple tasks. But there are some influenceable factors that can increase our alertness. With the help of various exercises, nutrition tips and small adjustments at work, concentration disorders or poor concentration will soon be a thing of the past!

If our brain works better, this also increases our concentration, which in turn enables us to complete our tasks in less time and without distractions. In order to do this, the brain not only needs a lot of energy, it also has to be optimally distributed.

Nutrition is the most important factor

Our brain works much better with the right foods and thus ensures that our concentration does not let us down. A piece of glucose or a chocolate bar provides us with short-term energy and perks us up, because they make the blood sugar level rise. But it falls just as quickly, causing tiredness and concentration problems.

It is true that the brain generally needs sugar, but it makes a lot more sense if the body can get it from so-called long-chain carbohydrates (e.g. in whole grain products). The energy from this sugar is much more sustainable and can permanently increase our concentration. For example, for good concentration it is important to drink enough water and to ensure good oxygen transport through the body.

Nuts, sea fish and linseed oil are also important. They contain valuable unsaturated fatty acids, which improve the exchange between nerves and are therefore indispensable for learning and working. You shouldn’t forget the vitamins either. Vitamin C, A and beta-carotene protect, among other things, the brain from dangerous free radicals that can damage cells.

Eating too often is unhealthy things like chips or sweets, and then you realize that I can no longer concentrate as well. And how do you increase your awareness in the office or at school?
