In the course of our lives we have received a lot of wisdom from our parents and grandparents. Usually they are dismissed as empty phrases. There is so much truth in these seven guiding principles that each of us should take it to heart.
Listen to your gut feeling
It cannot be denied that the mind sometimes helps us to make the right decisions. In the vast majority of cases, however, it is right to listen to the heart and ask yourself: Does this feel good to me now? Because that’s the only thing that really matters. As beautiful and important as charity is – in principle you should be the most important person to yourself and pay attention to your own needs first.
When I have finished my studies, when the children are out of the house, when I retire… Postponing wishes and projects further and further means, most likely not to realize them at all. After all, there is always some counter-argument. Nobody knows what tomorrow will be and whether you will even be able to start your dream trip to discover the world or to open your own shop. Therefore, as soon as it is somehow possible: just do it!
You are not alone
Even if we sometimes feel like this. There are always people around us who love and support us. Sometimes we just have to jump over our shadows and actively seek help. It is essential for survival not to deal with problems with oneself, but rather to confide in people. Because together a rocky road is always easier to walk.
Of course, life can’t always be like the fairground. But in many areas of life we have already forgotten how to enjoy ourselves. Why shouldn’t we have fun in the office? Or doing housework? If you don’t like doing your job, you should think about a change. The life motto that counts: Make yourself nice, no matter what you do!
