Clear your mind
If your thoughts are still buzzing in a completely uncoordinated manner in the upper room, a conversation with colleagues or friends can help to organize things. While you often cannot see the forest for the trees yourself, others have a much more distant perspective and do not see problems as big. Depending on how well you can get rid of brooding, the so-called helicopter technology can also help if there is no one to talk to: in other words, looking at things from above, from a distance.
You should simplify your processes. Rituals help develop a routine by following a specific sequence. Routines and habits sometimes have a bad reputation, because they are often associated with boredom. There are actions that do not have to be particularly fun and yet their necessity is recognized, for example various household chores. The advantage of rituals and routine is that the more often you perform certain activities, the easier it is for you to work. You can sweeten your boring tasks by listening to nice music.
Create a balance
Of course, you shouldn’t go through life blinded, like it’s a pony farm full of sugar-licking unicorns. The art is to make the best of every situation, to indulge in a sense of achievement and not simply indulge in setbacks. It’s not about having to choose between the two poles.
As so often in life, it’s about balance. If you look at the structure of a company, for example, you need a balanced team. Including those who want and are able to advance an idea at any price. And the others who make sure that not every price is paid for it – otherwise the company will fall into the red. In order for your team or group of friends to produce a good mix, it is advisable for every optimist to have a pessimist in a direct environment of trust. We are optimistic and believe that you can do it!
And how do you get positive thoughts? Tell me about your rituals. And if you don’t have any ideas yet and are looking for suggestions for reflection, please take a look at my ‘Ruthless Quotes‘ category.
